The pic above in this thread is the way my studio use to look. Below...I put one of the mixers in storage and brought my MPC out front and center. Eventually, I may get rid of an audio mixer all together and just have a large control surface and rack module AD/DA converters.

I like the improvement J. Its so clean!!!! If you seen my prev pics Im upgrading also. I have Protools 002 7.3LE at the crib now the basement still have the roland 2480 (I Love that thing). I'll post pics soon

They are Samsung SyncMaster 214T. They are 21 inch monitors and were reasonably priced.

yeah, i kept it on for a few weeks and then i finally took it off. that picture's old, i've had it off for a few months.

This is one of the flightcases i build for my mpc2k. I only need to take off the top and use it lying in the bottom of the case (Top comes off completly). The cost i used on the materials for this type of case wus bout' 70 bucks.

Upright: hehe , i still have the protective plastic on all my gear. Why pull it off? At least now when it's dirty as hell i have the option of pulling it off and have a brand spanking shiny new screen.

Yes..it is a much more comfortable arrangement and the monitors are now at eye level. I now have track bals on all my computers. I think they are more comfortble to work with. You are using a pen? How does that work out? I have never used one.

As far as my lonely MPC I just found a home for him. I was hoping to sell it to a person that really wanted/needed an MPC. But a dealer bought it from me...to clean up and sell it for hundreds of dollars more....

i bought it at Staples actually... and then i drilled a few holes into the top and got some braces from Home Depot... this way i was able to fly the small shelfs outside the desk for speakers... if you put it together as is, those shelfs float in and will only allow for one monitor... it cost something like $150 and is pretty damn stable...

The pen is great , it's fast cause you can move anywhere on the screen in one move (the grey pad underneath is a touch-screen for the pen).
I can work for longer periods without getting a swore wrist.
It's great for drawing automation.
The only downside is that it doesn't work well with all programs , cubase sx works like a charm but when using ableton live ,it's hell.
You can switch to a different mode when it's not fully compatible but it's a whole lot slower to work with.
One mode detects where you put the pen (like a touch-screen) and the other only detects movement like a mouse.
