Probably not, Akai cut him out of the 2000, that's why it sucks ;)

He always ger serious if people ask him if he did the 2000.

It's even in his website FAQ.

on the mpc2k classic and my man u are discribing the mpc4000 so if you want all those feature just get the 4k and bam all u wanted giving to u

OK, lets see. You are here since I suppose you are a musician wannabe. That is, you eventually want a bunch of people to pay money for music that you write. And you want someone else to give something up for free that would benefit you in attaining that goal of writing music that you want people to buy from you. Is there something wrong with this scenario? I'm not sure, maybe you can explain.
