Making Samples Fit The Bars and The Temp Being How I Want It

....How would i do this with chopped samples...can someone give me some exact tips...cus i would be a MILLION times more successful when i learn how to do this. And how can I change my samples like the Kanye West/RZA highpitched sound...but still have the sample in the correct length to fit the bars. Cus i hate when there is a little space becus the sample is not long enuff.
Someone help pleaze!!

either tune the sample up and turn up the tempo

or go into a daw and pitch shift it

also, practice. you will find a lot of things out for yourself if you take some time to learn the machine. i learned a lot by logging of of here and focusing on making beats.

when you sample shit count bars so you at least know that

What i do is sample the part i want to chop at whatever speed. Then i make sure it loops right. This gets saved as an original.

I then take this and patchphrase it to the tempo and pitch i want it to be.

save this as a new sample and chop away!!

^^^ chop chop chop... avoid one long sample if you can... you have more control this way... (drops) anyway what I do is loop it in the trim mode, get it as perfect as you can.... then slice it... but wait

unless you rock the JJos... the Chop function in the 1K converts it to MONO... I extract the slice and assign them manually... (sucks... thinking of getting the two5)

before I extract... I loop the slice to see if the chop is even (you may have to reloop and adjust if there are noticable pops) after that I set mute groups in the program for the basic sample MOTIF... I may go back to the sample a jack a vocal run or some ish... high or band pass it, effect... whatever...

This way you "play" the sample back and will find it easier (to me anyway) to find a tempo to match the groove... If you find a sample you like, chop it, lay some drums and make it fit... 2cents
