help pleaaaase! !!!!

i went to the store today kinda messed around with the drum machines and saw some turntables and keyboards, i saw a guy making beats off some keyboards it was a motif, and he would add layers and stuff and that seems pretty cool like he would do the drum part on the keyboard, then do a bass guitar line and guitar and then add on another layer like a piano layer, then violin and stuff that seems pretty simple to do, im not to sure how you mainpulate your samples with your mpc

how would u cut parts out of sample, would you use the mpc or some sort of software like sound forge to cut parts out

fcuk it, my opinion is keyboards are better, it has it all and alot easier, i prefer a motif or trition workstation keyboard over an mpc where you gotta waste your time loading up samples from a sound module when the keyboard has it all already plus more options!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just dnt see the advantage the mpc has over a key board, even if i am drummer, press the keys on the board is the same as pressing pads on mpc.

u know what i dont even have sound on my computer but i emailed that to myself so whenever im at my parents office ill open that link up and check it out. the thing is witht he mpc, is that you have to transfer samples onto the machine and the keyboard its already there and it has everything , i dont know, i saw a guy makin it with keyboards i have check that site u sent me , but thanks anyways

i saw it looks just as easy as keyboards, i just don't have good keyboard skills and i would have to take some lessons and thats just gonna cost too much money, so i guess mpc is the way to go . plus people have been telling me its better. thanks for help everyone

www.mpc2000xl.com mad info. Of yeah a the MPC can chop samples up inside of it already. That means you can sample a loop, a repitive phrase of music, and cut it up into smaller pieces and play them back rhythmicly and change up the order
ex.
i like hot puddusy all day--- you can cut this up into like 7 little pieces and rearrange the order

ex.
hot puddusy hot puddusy all day all day I like puddusy hot all day.

You can do this with anything. Works great when you sample a drum beat and cut it up and isolate the kicks, snares, highats, and switch up the order. kick kick snare kick kick snare, could be kick snare kick kick snare snare. You can play the samples your own little way which makes you actually play your own music.

choppin goes hard, that shit is tyte, their are so many possibilities man..... i can't wait dude. once i know how to work this thing real well, its over. I have good ideas just not all the technical stuff down. man its over
