MIDI -> MPC.rec ... !?!?

Hi all,

man...it's impossible..I try it since yesterday but it doesn't work.
I loaded my vst in Cubase an try to record the sounds with the mpc...in cubase i hear the midisound but i would like to record the sound with the mpc..
I'm at a loss what to do...please help me

How are you connecting your PC to the MPC ?

check the digital rate output of your soundcard (MPc only accepts 44.1 at 16bit). Check also in RECORD mode that you select the appropriate source (DIGITAL), and also check with the INPUT THRU settings that you have it to ON, so you can monitor the signal from your soundcard.

thx..it works now...but only in the record mode..is it possible, to record midisounds just by pushing the "rec+play-button" on the mpc...like record the drums with the pads...(with the metronome) ?

(and where can i find the right MIDI-Channel ? (from 16A - 16B) ?)

scroll up to around track 60 you will see them - you obviously need to have an audio output going from your soundcard into your mpc for this to work (analogue or digital) - if you just got a midid lead connecting the two your only going to record midi in your mpc and not the audio coming from your synth or watever on your pc/mac

youd be suprised how many people cant get there head round that
