i got the 128 ram for 40 bucks at Frys Electronics. anyone who spends over 50 to 75 is crazy when you can get it so cheap. make sure you have the right specs, i made that mistake at Best Buy and had a lot of trouble returning the ram. or if you cop the 500 go for the free ram deal, its worth the wait - just cop a 1 gig card and that should hold you over for a while.

i ordered my ram today, the kingston 256mb everyone spoke of.

i have had some issues with my 500 that i've read about here, such as 2 crashes (once live, a pain in the a$$- but i was wailing on the thing, frankly) and also the polyhony issue, in which the other sounds drop out while i'm overdubbing but eventually make it back into the mix.

i don't mind the drop outs too much if i'm composing at home, but live it's bad. nobody wants crashes either.

do you all think that the increased ram will help to end these two rather annoying problems?
