Converting Songs To Wav In The MPC?

Hi, I just bought an mpc 1000 with the new 2.10 OS and i was wondering is
it possible to convert or render a song in to a wav. in the mpc 1000? or
do i have to record out to my computer? :?

by converting the song into a wav format, will it save into my compact flash then i can transfer it over to my comp? is there any quality issues with this as opposed to just recording it into your computer using a spdif connection and into a DAW. thanks!

The MPC1000 manual refers to the sampling screen as the RECORD function. just hit MODE>PAD5 in any OS....

yes. the quality of the MPC is standard CD digital quality. if you have a spdif device that sends better than 44.1kHz CD audio into your DAW, you should consider if you want touse the computer for sampling, keeping in mind any samples you decide to load into the MPC have to be CD quality anyway.....

personally I just use the MPC to make samples I plan to use with the MPC. i use the laptop to sample things i need to use in the laptop.... If I really need to edit something in computer land it's easy enough to send it over the USB from one to the other. i spend more time sampling with the mpc than the laptop.....
