definately, the 2000xl dulls the sound just a bit, which to me i really like...

i own the 1000 and am under the assumption that it has the same sound engine as the 2500

the 2500 definately does not sound too similar to the 3000, i've herd two at a live situation and the 3000 had the more dull and warm sound, but that was probably the way both guys sampled their sh*t..

try searching, i tihnk jahrome posted a clip from the 3000 and the 2500 and i think a few people picked the 2500 over the 3000's sound

if you know how to use your filters the 1000/2500 can sound however you want it to.

yeah it does remind me of a 2000xl and 3000 , thats probably why they named it 2500, its just that sound that come out of it for some reason,i was gonna purchase one but i rather have a mpc 4000.
