just out of curiousity, what were you expecting it to convert it to? pesos?

sampling into the 1/4 inch inputs does in fact sample in wav format. wav is a pretty standard format nowadays. i was glad that my mpc2000xl was able to save and load wav files because i was able to edit sounds on my pc.

yeah, what are you talking about? the mpc can sample mono or stereo, whichever you choose. each way samples in wav format. mono and wav are not opposites...

i noticed that it when you sample from a cd, it converts into wav.
Is the source cd an audio CD? If so you can rip the audio from it, I use sound forge. Audio CD's are WAV format anyway.

it doesnt do that with the normal 1/4 ins right?
You lost me with this one. Explain your whole sampling technique in EXACT DETAIL and maybe one of us can see what can be done to clear this up for you.

Damn, i spent all that money for nothing.
Too early to start thinking like that, sounds like you don't know your own capabilites and limitations.

i could of just sampled with my cd player into the mp.. it converts wav into mono.. anybody know how to fix that?
What EXACT type of connectors/cables/adapter are you using FROM your cd player to the MPC?

Answer all of this and we can possibly move on to a solution Mr. Dolla.

when i sample from a cd on the mpc, it converts the sample into mono.. i want wav.. now when u sample from the stereo ins, it is still wav not mono.. so i just wasted money buying the cd drive when i just could of sampled from the computer.. it would of been wav not mono..

.Wav is a file format. You must be talking about stereo and mono. You do know you can change that in the record screen on the 2500 right? Looks like someone needs to read his manual again.......

Exactly right.

Understand this, anything you sample into the mpc will be wav. Doesn't matter if it comes out mono or stereo, it will STILL be a wav file.

NOW, in your 2500 manual pg 57. Hop to it big dog...
