studio setup question

I just picked up a small behringer mixer and want to use it to run all my sounds through before going into the my mpc for sampling. Kind of like a pre-mixer. I currently have my MPC going into one of the two stereo inputs and I have my turntable& mixer going into the other stereo input via the outputs on the dj mixer.

My question is this. How can I leave this setup in tack and still run out of the main outs of the behringer mixer and into the inputs of the MPC for sampling. Right now I have to unplug the mpc from the behringer inputs before I run the main outs of the behringer into the inputs of the MPC because if I don't I get a nasty feedback. In a way it makes since that I couldn't go out of the MPC into the behringer then right back out of the behringer into the MPC again, so I'm just wondering what the correct way to route the mixer and the mpc for sampling where I can still monitor the sound through my behringer's headphone outs.

I hope this made some since, if it didn't let me konw and I'll be glad to explain because I really need to get this figured out. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm new to mixer configs.

lol the only thing that didn't make sense is when you spelled "sense" "since".

I have a mackie 1604vlz and I usually route my sampling inputs through the stereo headphone outs. To eliminate feedback all you have to do is either turn the main volume knob on your mpc down before sampling or mute the input channels that the mpc is connected to. I like to sample from the headphone out of my mixer because it allows me to select from all the various sources connected to the mixer (tape, sub1-2, sub3-4 and main) instead of routing the audio to the mpc.

I also have a patchbay that I use to double the headphone out signal so that my monitors can take advantage of the selectable output. Patch bays do come in handy if you have alot of inputs and outputs to deal with. I'm in the process of hooking all my gear to the patchbay along with my mixer's channels so that I can switch which signal is routed to each mixer channel without reaching in the back and whiping out the cables. Mind you this takes alot of cable to accomplish and if this is not something you need don't bother.

thanks for the reply. So your saying you run your stereo headphone outs into your mpc inputs? It would seem like you'd have to have monitors to be able to hear the sounds since your using your headphone outs to input into the MPC. I'm still a little confused on this one.

My mixer has "control room" outs, can I route those to the input on my MPC, which would allow me to still use my headphone outs for my headphones?

Yah control room out. Guess that's the same thing. I can preview what I am sampling through my monitors and my headphones. I double the control room signal with my patch bay. One to my mpc input and another to my amp/speakers.
