How do I save sequences to Zip

I havent found where to save my sequences in the manual. I have two beats I really really like.... Bought a computer with a recording program. Before I turn my MPC off so I can hook everything I need to save the songs. How do I do this???

Also, once I save these to zip disk, will they come back as one song(sequence) or will I be able to access them track by track like I have them now. This is important because I have three beats from the origional utilizing the velocity and the track mute. Thanks!

Your Zip needs to be partitioned and then go to Shift + 5 and then Pick Save All Seq's & Sound's and then do Save All Programs & Sounds. then when you want to load them up gain you do the same thing with LOAD.

Thanks!. I just saved it once unpartitioned and then I went back and partitioned the disk. I named each of my three sequences and saved them to Partition A. Partition A now has 24.4 Megs of memory left. B,C, and D stll have 25megs. Is this the correct way to save over partitions. Seq1=11k, Seq2=10k and seq3=10k mathematically that doesn't add up. I thought the partition was supposed to divide the sequence up equally over the disc. Can someone please explain this to me??? I would like to understand why this is important rather that just pressin buttons.

Is there a way to make sure the files are saved to disc before I shut the machine off. I REALLY appreciate peeps respondin to my posts!!! I don't even know ya and you take the time to help me out. Thanks

Since it seems you're both working on 2kxl machines lemme give you one advice; do not partition your zip disks, just use folders, partitioning a zip disk is absolutely not needed when you use the 2kxl. If you need to transfer samples between your MPC and your PC then it's a good idea to format the zip disk on your computer, just remember to use FAT16.

What is a FAT16??
