Can somebody help me here, cause i'm bout to freagin loss my cool in two seconds, about two hours a go i was doing the usual making a beat and BANG!! one line across the screen, i panic for second, and turn the machine off, turn it back on, nothing just that plain YELLOW MPC 1000 screen, no funtions work..no bottons it just turn on..I later turn the MPC 1000 back on and it work..i was able to poop at this time i turn off and called all my boys s ok this things are temperamental..I wewnt back to the crates to see if i can replicate this music i just lost...and Fooook not WORKING!!!!!!, THIS TIME IS NOT WORKING ... AIGHT....... does anybody knows what can i do???? :cry: :evil:

hold shift on the main screen and turn the data wheel clockwise u may have set the contrast settings low

Thanks to all of you but......................
None of it work..I try to install the OS but how can i get to the usb window on my MPC 1000 if none of the buttons funtions work??? its 6:23 am an i can't sleep :shock:..................... Do i have any other choices??? please...................... ok no biggie ima go poison my goldfish AKAY WILL PAY!!!

Yes, should be able to, but it sounds like your contrast. it has happened to me a few times.

Yeap i mean i know how to install OS and i know how to adjust the constrast shift data wheel that ain't nothing, i'm saying is how can i install OS with no Botons or pads to push is it posible??? i

your buttons are still there, even though the screen doesn't say anything.

akai support tells you to hold down a few of the buttons while booting up, i can't remember which.

just a suggestion

also, use a CF card reader instead of USB on the MPC.

put the OS on the card, then put the card in the mpc with the OS on it.

you don't have to use the USB connection

those card readers are only like 10-20 bux

Well i took it u had an CF card reader on your PC that would allow you to put the OS on it and then load it to your MPC.
