8 out problem....COULD IT BE BROKEN?????

i got a mpc 2000 xl with the 8 outs installed and i wanna mix the individual sounds (kick snare hats) on my 16 channel mixer. So i thought if i buy a 8 plug snake cable i can do this. so i plug the 8 outs from the mpc to my 8 ins of my mixer, and try to assign the channels/ sound in the mp like it says in the book, but i dont hear anything outta my monitors.......

Whats goin on?????

Sounds like you got the cabling part down.

Re-visit the 8out part of the manual and see what you DIDN'T do.

You'll prolly kick yourself for not doing this.
