Connecting a turntable to the mpc and then to the us 122l

Heey what up,

Today i received a cable for my old turntable (4x tulp male - 5p din female) and i hooked it up to my ortofon MCA-76 preamp. So i got 2 tulp cables going into my preamp and the 2 that are coming out hooked to my mpc record in. And i got 2 cables coming out of the mpc stereo in to my us-122l line in L and line in R, and 1 cable coming out of my phones of the us-122l to my stereo ( a lot of cables) When i play a record on the turntable/pickup i get a lot of noise and static, does anyone know what could be the problem?

There should be a smaller wire for grounding going from the turntable to the preamp, that should do the trick.
