does anyone know the best and easy way to get your samples in patches or chop up so it can go in all the pads. in other words i want to take one recorded sample, than can the mpc automatically break it up into all the pads and banks. please bare with my stupid question just got it today!!!

as of now it doesnt have an auto chop feature like the 1000(with the jj os) and the 2500 got.

but im sure u could load your samples in recycle and auto chop and split them.

then assign em to your pad banks like that.

i dont have recycle i do have pro tools though i wont be able to chop the in pro tools but maybe i can just edit the waves in export them in the mpc. how do u like the recycle i hear alot about it. maybe ill pick it up on friday. is recycle easy to learn.

you could do "recycle like" cuts in pro tools.

tab to transient- which is you highlight the loop then hit apple+tab (i believe)/

the other is you use "beat detective" which is included in pro tools and it detects all the hits in a loop and splits em up. Id check online for exact tutorials but i know you could do it pro tools (just to save you the money too.)
