I just installed a hard drive in my MPC and randomly after I have saved a program or sequence and sut down the MPC the next time I load when I want to load the specific file I get a File not Found Error. It does not happed to everything I save, but it occurs frequently, but inconsistantly. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this, it pissin me off.

The last time I got that specific error was because I had a period (.) in my file name. I renamed the file, loaded it into memory, replaced the old one, purged, then re-saved. Fixed my problem. Don't use any punctuation or symbols in filenames.

Could be a couple of other things too...

Is the "missing" file still on you disk, or is the MPC just not seeing it or finding it?

i think it says that when you dont have anymore sampling time on the machine. If you dont have anymore record time, it wont let you load your other files until you purge the other samples.

I dont think I am running out of sample time. I got 128 in the joint with a ways to go. It only happens on my 40GB drive not on the CF Card. I think the drive is gonna give me a headache. Personally I think my drive maybe unstable.

J im using 3.06 with the HD with no Problems, when i do encounter your problem with no file error OS 2.1, i just hit clear and reload and it works fine for me after three or four tries then i re-save, i hope that give you any insight on your problem.
