Not enough memory

I just broght an mpc2000xl, the question that I have is I went to load the disk that came with the unit so i could upload some sounds and try it out, but evrytime it goes to load up it stops and says there isn't enough memory...Well considering i just brought it do i need to add more memory or am I doing something wrong can someone please help!!

i need more memory too.. can i go to comp usa to buy it or do i need to go on akia site or ebay.. i need it now i hope comp usa has it... what is the memory called

The RAM inside the 2k/2kxl can be found at Comp USA. It's not the newest form of RAM on the block so every CompUSA store won't have it. I've seen it recently but they only had like 1 stick left. You can find it online alot easier though.

Thats where I had cop'd my first stick from.......it ran me like 35.00 for one stick check my man out...........

I found my memory on ebay from sczi for samplers. The memory sticks are the old school computer style, everything in cpu's are now sdram, I couldn't find a comp. store with them. They all told me to go to a computer show to find it. I got 32m for like 20 bucks from this guy and I got a zip drive for like 65.00. Give him a shout maybe he can help you.
[email protected] is his email. Good guy and his stuff comes with instructions on how to install everything. Ohh, if you are getting memory and don't have a zip drive think about it, floppies suck and the are so ssllooooowwww. Hope this helps. Peace

Scsi zip drive are going for like $25.00 to $35.00 becareful......a lot of people know why and what you cop'n for so they hit you up........search.......I just scored 4 100mb Scsi Zip drives from the thrift shop for $2.50 each.......$10.00 for all four.......They all power and operate fine

I say this just to say.....dont jump at the first thing that comes your way, do research and shop around..........Smokey Robinson told us bout this way back in the day
