How do cats get samples with many different instrument tracks to sound as if they are soloed out......for example,
Pete Rock's "mind blowin'".........that hammond organ sample, not the guitar, has many different instrumental tracks on it because i've heard the original, it has a thick bass and pretty heavy/percussiony drums....you can't even hear these tracks on "mind blowin'", i know you can lower your bass when sampling samples, but damn!, i can't hear any remnants of the bassline along with that organ...
another example, I.G. Off and Hazadous' "in the air", produced by d.j. spinna............the vocal sample.........the original for that sample has drums and a bunch of strings, but you can't hear them on "in the air".................this either has to be a studio trick, can't be filtering because the samples are trebly and bright, not muddy, or the producers' access to the original multitrack recordings............any input?
