need help asap,

yesterday i tried 2 connect my external hd and now wen i connect my zip it aint readin none of my disks, pls tell me i aint just lost all my beats.

Your zip drive used to work fine and you did not change any of the jumper settings on the back? If so then it sounds like you blew up your scsi fuse.

nah i aint change no settings, wat does dat mean if ive blown da scsi fuse, because b4 half of my disks stop workin and now da other half of dem has stop workin

It means that your mpc's scsi port is dead, you need to take it to a repairshop so they can replace the dead fuse (if it is a dead fuse).

does any 1 know how much dis will cost me ruffly AND CAN IT B DONE URSELF

at first i switched everything off but i did swap the hd and zip over a couple times while the 2000xl was switched on

The fuse costs 8 dollars. You can replace it yourself. Make sure nothing is plugged in and you have an approved fuse. Get it from forat or akai or something. If you take it to a tech, it will be 25-50 for an 'hour' of labor, and then the fuse. At least if it's not that, you didn't pay $60 to find out that it's a different problem.

It means, before you connect/disconnect your drives you need to power down your MPC.
