i was gonna leave it at that, but since you asked...mpcs are waaaay overkill for a lot of contemporary southern rap beats. sht, mpcs are way overkill for most hip hop/techno beats in general. but in terms of drum programs and note placement, you can do sooooo much with an mpc that i personally have never once heard in south rap beats

mpcs tend to push producers toward boom bap. if you have the artillery to make some serious damage, it tends to happen to you.

I agree and I disagree. But I think southern music is misunderstood mainly because all this so called "snap" (garbage) music thats coming out now. Southern producers such as Manne Fresh,36 mafia,Organized Noise,Jazzy Pha, beats are very advanced in note placement/drum programming. But I feel you!!!!

You can't keep the original writing on it unless you have it screen printed before you strip it, but I just personalized the writing myself using a paint marker and some letter stickers. Of course it won't look like a forat job($700) but it will be your personlized MP! As far as the faceplate, just remove the screws.

Whats the trick with keeping the labeling? Or putting it back on. Want to paint my MPC, not sure what to do about the lettering though. Any suggestions anyone?

I am an automotive painter. If anyone wants serious paint it could happen. As far as the lettering goes im sure someone knows about templates. I can do Candies,Pearls,Metallics,Chamelions,Pastels,Chrome and more. Hit me up [email protected]. I live in Bellevue Washington and I can make anything possible...except the lettering...
