Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By JoeyBags Sat Jan 27, 2007 3:07 am
I downloaded some different sounds online and even converted them to wave just incase using real player but the scsi drive says, File Not Found, Cannot Open.

I've never done this before, by downloading files and putting them in the scsi but I had some cd's the guy gave me that sold me my mpc years back.. am I burning it wrong (format wise) or something?

I have an MPC2000XL and using a scsi drive to read it.

try burning them as data, instead of audio ...

download goldwave or a similar audio editing program or just use whatever program you are using to sample it should be in the settings when you save the file

Only the 2k classic needs the Akai format cdrom, the 2kxl reads standard format cdroms.
