Am I blind, or can these simple things NOT be done on 2500?

Last night I pulled the 2500 out of the box for the second time to give it another go.

Is it really impossible to:

Copy padbank a of Program 1 to padbank b of program 2?
----------
Make all pads, or maybe just the current bank have the same filter settings, without having to go through each pad and setting up the filter? and then assign one qlink to all of thier cutoffs?

I don't know, it all seems obvious. But the manual does not state how to do such things! The all-pad shortcut I found was using the shift button to select all pads in the FX screen, i could use it in more places

Would be nice but I don't think this is possible.

That is so... sad.


Anyone know where I can find buttons and switches and stuff to make midi sequencing gear? I need to just make the perfect machine myself. lol. I just happen to need 64 buttons though.

Not a machine that does any audio output thats for sure. Midi only.

Using multiplexers or whatever thier called to turn the buttons into a usable signal (like keyboards use, in a grid)

I havent gotten into pic programming yet but I like having something to aim towards when I try new things. Otherwise it's like your just building examples.

Same reason people who learn to program don't really learn unless theres something they want to build, in baby steps.

I just want a boatload of buttons that i can read/set the state of internal variables off of, and after that I'll figure out the timer, and of couse the whole midi interface DIN thing. I think i could learn if i wanted to enough. Just haven't found a way to get some good buttons.

Maybe I'm better off sticking with game programming for ps2/p/ps3

Yes, It is Possible!

In program mode, arrow all the way to the left where the pad number is.
Window key: Copy Program 1 pad A01 to Program 2 Pad A01
It will copy all paramaters of the pad. You can make whatever adjustments after you copy the pads.

I use this method to build kits with the sounds from different programs in order to make one giant program.

This function has helped me reduce the number of programs I use because I usually fill up the banks with whatever I need.

That's a total of 64 different sounds in one program. Once you set up a kit like this, you will reduce the number of programs you load.

Picture this;

Drums on Bank A
Percussions on Bank B
Samples on Bank C
......You get the idea

Once you set up a system, you'll be roll'n when it comes time to create.
