..I've been silently monitoring the activity on these boards and have now finally plucked up the courage to ask a question which has really been botherin me.

I have Pro Tools, Reason, a Clavia Nord 2, and the MPC4000. None of this stuff seems to work.

What exactly is 'a beat'? How the **** does this stuff work???!!

dude if you purchased an MPC4000! and u have reason and PROTOOLS u gotta be able to make a beat....U really should know at list something about making music when getting an mpc.

Oh shit I figured it out! Now all I need to do is put some hours in to write whole tracks.

Hey Jp im in teh same boat , got the 4000 this Neve desk i was told would sound good 30 Sony C-800gs, a philharmonic orchestra, some of these Avalon preamps I bought because of that Bryan Ferry song and im having a problem too. I want to make a hit but paris hilton IS NOT HITTING me UP. Cant belive it. I got the same shit as Scott Storch. I have a yacht,. 2 yachts. I hate producers.....big shots.... just giev me a chance man... im hungry..
