ive had my mpc for over a year and have been more than happy but a week ago when trying to use the midi clock function so i can sequence my track in cubase without having to line up the audio i found it no longer works. everything seems setup fine but when i press play on the mpc after the midi sync it plays and i dont get the 'waiting for...'message and it just doesnt cooperate with my sequencer anymore. any advice anyone else had this problem please help ive tried akai but they are slow to respond

Dead MIDI cable? Have you tried sending other data through, just to check?

Maybe you're sending the midi data through the 'wrong' midi port.I did that the other day and figured out after some time that the midi out port was set to only B,not AB.
Also retrack the settings in Cubase and check if everything is set correctly.

hmm do you need midi out for the midi clock to work i thought you just went from cubase midi out to mpc midi, i thought id only need the mpc midi out if that was to be the master controller and not the slave, thanks for the heads up though ill look into it
