Its also just easier to find a perfect loop if you dont dont have to keep re-triggering the pad to hear the changes you've made to the start or end points. A Global "Clear all Memory" would be good too so you dont have to go around deleting each and every sample and program you have in memory.

Chop Shop would be nice but I doubt they'll do it, I'd just be happy with the ablity to set regions manually.

oh and one more thing.... the ability to "grab" trim start & end points and loop start & end points by hitting a pad while listening to a sample like someone else asked on another thread.

I'd like to see the limited polyphony problem fixed.

Also, hi pass filters.

Autochromatic.

Audio Streaming over USB.

 8)

C'mon akai, it's 2007.

:? :(

I concur with Sensei, this little drum machine as dope as it is still has soo much potential. I don't know which of these suggestions are possible but Akai could really just clear out the competition (not that they already haven't) if they got some more features.

But.. do we know if Akai reads this? Should we send this list to them?

If you want to work with computer apps you can use the Midi out of the 500 to trigger samples on your PC or get an MPD 24. In what kind of situation would you want / need to stream audio from your computer to your MPC or from your MPC to your computer.

you probably can't have it stream audio and have it be a mass storage class device on USB. I think you have to choose one or the other.

Chop shop? no way on that display. You need to see the waveform to do it well.

Master level higher than 0db? that makes no sense. In digital audio, 0 db is full level.

Things I'd like to see
1. more pad sensitivity
2. edit sample start and ends with the Q-Link
3. real time automatible control over sample start and end, have it be free or quantized to the current TC time. You can do this in Live and it's dope.
4. pad mute, like track mute but for the pads.
5. the ability to globally adjust the filter settings in a program instead of per pad.
6. I like the "grab sample start, end and loop points by hitting a pad" idea.
