os download problem

new to the boards here and trying to get the 3.0 version of os for my system so i can start out with the 3.0 first. My problem is that everytime i save the file i cant open it. Do i just save it in a folder, not open it, and then hook up my MPC via usb and do it from there?

Instructions would be nice.

put the new os on your flash card in the main directory turn the mpc off
and then power it back up holding down the window key..the mpc will search for the new os and then tell you what too press to proceed.

i meant when i download it from the net and put it on my computer. i wanna know what i need to do to get it on my flashcard.

you need a flash card reader so you can mount the card on you computer and transfer the .bin os file to it.

If you don't have a card reader, then hook up your mpc to your comp in via the USB port to mount the card on your computer and transfer the file.

Don't try to expand the .bin file.
