A friend of my mother's gave me a collection about twice that, but then I had to relocate out of state... damn records got left behind, too. My friend in Philly, her parents' garage is packed full of records, but they're not givin a damn thing up! I also have a friend in Chicago, whose uncle in Evanston has 2000-3000 records just sittin in his damn attic. He's not trying to give anything up, either. Then homegirl's grandparents out in Rockland have about 1500 joints in their basement... they're not even trying ot up a damn thing to me... These people need to just give it all to me, since none of them are even listening to those records.

i was goin to buy a collection yesterday for 30 bucks
dude walks in to my store and ask me how much i would give him and i told him 20 at first,
he had shi+ thAt was goin to be given away and prolly thrown away .
a bunch of old 78's. ....dude was all like WTF?

i told him well you ask what i would give you and thats my offer..as he left i told him 30 and he hesitated but then he said he would be back ....

who's loss is it mine or his?
his cause he 's comin to my store to sell them and asked what i would give him , shi+ i cant sell more then half of them records away.

but then there's some buys where i buy 100 records for 5 bucks.
so you win some and you lose some.
dont know till you offer them money....some the times folks just want to get rid of it cause they dont have the space.

Believe me, I have offered. Even offered to drive across the entire country to load each of those collections up on a moving van, in addition to money... Dukes in Evanston laughed at the $500 I offered him. Said, "that might buy you one of the 45's up in the attic..."

i just picked up 3 crates of all spanish records from my girl's aunt. man that's why i don't mind paying doe for records when you diggin' kuz think about all the records you get for free. it all evenz out somehow.
