Hello there!

From the name and the manual, I would guess that the MPC would have multiple mute groups. However, in the OS, it seems you can only select on or off. Is it correct that the 500 only has a single mute group per program??

can u explain mute groups?

is this assignin multiple samples (say all your drums excpet the hi hat) so that you could mute them all out at one time minus the one hi hat i mentioned?

na u could do that by having all ur samples on one track and then muting the track. mute groups are actually way cooler than that. when u assign two or more samples to a mute group they mute each other out. like u hit a pad while anopther sample is playin and it'll cut the first one off. mad fun to use with open and closed hi hats

i used to use this on the 2kxl when i was too lazy too finely cut the end of a loop off, id have the 2 or more loops cut each other off.
