pads on left or right?

i have been using the 2000XL for around 4 years now, and love the pads being on the right, so i can play the pads with my right hand, and control the rest of the machine with my left. i have actually developed a technique (without trying) of having my hands rest on certian parts of the machine for quick access to the butttons i need.

i wanna get an mpc 500 for live use, but as with all other MPCs besides the 2000, I'm scared of the pads not on the right side of the machine

anyone else have this though? been through it already? like it one way or the other???

I like my 2KXL just the way the lay out is (right handed beatmakers unite!).

i like to run the pads with my right hand and the sequencer and controls with my left.... i'm gonna get a 500 but that seems like a 1-hand piece

why not use ur 2kxl for live use? it looks better and feels better, the 500 wont even be visible to the crowd... or get the 1000 if u want to be more mobile

i don't care about looks. i'd rather leave my 2000xl at home. i've tried before to use the 2000xl live but carrying it around was always a pain. when it was at the practice space, i'd want it at home and vice versa.

plus i wann keep the 2000xl connected all the time, i leave it on for days at a time working on stuff.

i'll never sell my 2000xl i love the thing so damn much. i have mpc lust/love...

The 3000 sounds the best, but the layout of the 2000XL is perfect for me. I love mine too. That will never go.
