From MPC2Kxl to 1000 or 2500 ?

Hi,

Im an old mpc 2kxl user from back around 2001 - I decided to go the reason / logic route around then but lately Im missing those pads .
As I've moved on from " zip disks " the mpc2kxl is out of the question so its an mpc1000 or 2500 for me .. but which is closer to the 2kxl ?
money is not an issue as its like £200 in the price difference - the 1000 is £680 & the 2500 is £880 here in London.

I jammed with both briefly in the store - the 1000 seemed fine & not as toyish or fragile as it looks & the 2500 was clearly a better made machine but, I had the same feeling for both while jamming beats & one didn't feel better than the other, infact I'd even say - I kinda liked the 1000 more for the size but I just couldn't make a desicion what with the new jj OS etc etc
Let me hear u on this.

I went from 2kxl to 1k, and im not fully satisfied. I feel that it has to few buttons and workspace for my "big" hands, im getting the 2500 in a while. And the 1k really feels much cheaper built, the 2500 feels better that way too.

So you should get the 2500 without a doubt!
Or buy an mpd24 if you like working with computers but only missing the pads.
