I don't have many new age drum samples for my xl, i have seen the MPC Drum CD, but think it is a bit pricy and probably full of drums that i wouldnt use anyway, I'm looking for hard deep drums... my boy says I should just sample hits from older records and use those, I'm not so sure however, I would like to have something like the MPC Drum CD if the samples were all raw and usable, does anyone have advice on this conundrum?

For Hard & Deep samples - have a look at 'Deep n Hard' kicks on MPC-Samples.com - this is on the CD but also available separately.

All the sounds on the site are raw and usable. We don't add any effects except eq and compression to our drum kits, certainly no effect that would taint the drum sound.

Definitely check out the offerings that the Tutor has. He's gone all kinds of good stuff and it's reasonably priced too.

Also holler at me if you need some thick vinyl drums.

Peace.
