New EB-16 installed. does not work???

hi!
i just have installed an EB-16 effect board in my mpc.
now, i turned the mpc on and the display says "Wait....." for quite too long now!!! nothing happens!
the effect board is new. (and no, i did not install it the wrong way arround, i think this isn't even posssible).
i have put out the effect board and the mpc starts normally!!!
put the EB-16 back in, -> the display shows only "Wait......"
PLEASE HELP!!!

is this normal when you install the eb-16?
like an initializing process or smth.?
should the mpc work immediately after i have installed the eb-16?
the display showed "wait...." for too long. more than 10 minutes!
and ....... nothing!
seems like it does not want to start with the board installed.

when i installed mine, it started up normal. you might wanna check if you are pushing the card all the way in, or some other user error, but that's really the only help i can give

are you sure you are putting it in the right place inside the MPC? IIRC there are a couple places where it looks like it might fit. i checked the manual when installing mine. i didn't even notice any difference after i put it in, and i rarely use it...
