mpc60 sampling question!!

hey ya'll....i'm new to this forum, and new owner of an mpc60...2.14 os (i know, upgrade! upgrade!) and no SCSI or expanded memory...yet.
my question is about sampling. i'm sampling off vinyl, from technics 1200's thru a vestax pcv175 mixer (i'm a vinyl club DJ....slowly turning producer)...i have top quality needles too....SO....i sample a sound, but there is barely, if any bass coming thru...i can't EQ any of the bass....my EQ's are all the way up....no bass. whats the deal? is it the mpc60? my sampling method? something i'm overlooking setting up the mpc60? please help!

this problem may arise from the fact that it is mono sampling... Just check that you are not trying to sample both stereo channels as this can sometimes make your sound a bit weird. Try panning hard left/right
