hello forum,
i just asked myself if it really isn't possible to change the velocity of a sample (or track) with the 'note on' feature of the q-sliders. i know i can do this with the incredible 'real time' feature, but just changing it with 'note on' doens't seem to be possible, or am i missing something? anyone else missing this? then i'm gonna send a quick note to jj, i think it should be no big deal to implement this.
bye

damnit! :P
i don't want the 'real time' velocity-change. i'm looking for a simple 'note on' without the need of extra-events in step edit. just a change of velocity on the note event! i read jjs page twice, he only explains the 'real time' velocity feature.
who's wrong, me or you?

change to note on, change parameter to velocity?

there is no 'velocity' parameter in 'note on' mode. thats the point!

aaah, ok, i don't have an mpc, so can't check this, sorry for misleading you!! perhaps there's a 'volume' setting? if not, you could just play the pads harder or softer.

Its not possible. There isnt other way for setting VELOCITY (except hitting pads and Seq and Step edit while sequencer is stopped) As I understand u're using velo for switchin other parameters like:
filt env/attack/pitch/start etc.. not only for volume, right?

possibility to change the velocity of a sample and track with the 'note on' feature of the q-sliders would be f666in hot and easy

explain why its helpfull, to not have an mpc and give people advice (useless too) on the machine? i'm not intentionally being harsh, i'm just not sure how else to phrase it politely, but ive got an mpc, and i wouldnt give advice if i cant back it up by anything.
