workflow for dummies!

Hiya guys!I hope everyone is having fun with his new mp,I'm soo happy with it!
I have a quick noob question: when you start a new song, you start from a sequence, right?
Let's say I have some chopped samples I like, and start recording them in sequence 1..
then if I want to add drum samples,or efx or whatever, what is the best way to do this? Should I copy sequence 1 to sequence 2 and record the new samples on there? I'm trying to do that with the help of the manual, but it always ends with something wrong,I think I make mistakes in copying the sequence to the next..
How do you guys work? you proceed in this copying sequences mode? or in song mode?
I'm in need of some advice here...
but.. I'm IN LOVE with mp!!! :D

trk 1 -> kik and snare
trk 2 -> hi hat
trk 3 -> open hi hat
trk 4 -> organ
trk 5 -> strings

etc..

Reason I say trk 1 with both kik and snare is so that you get a good feelings with drums right from the start. You can copy trk 1 later on and delete kik or snare from either trk. That will give you the seperation of trk that you will need later for a rough pre-mix.

Every instrument / sample on it's own trk.

Can you please explain to me the correct copy process?
I mean, what I should copy to build the song: sequences or tracks?
I don't know why, but when I try to copy sequence 1 to seq. 2 it just doesn't work! I should quit smokin!! LOL :lol:

Does anybody now where the "DO IT" button is? When I try to erase or undo, it tells me to hit the "DO IT" button and I can't find it. Seems lik a stupid question, but any help would be appreciated.

The "Do It" button is also the "12 Levels Button". Top right hand side of the 500,below the cursor.
