good, bad, ugly?

i am getting interested in the fostex mr-8 for simply getting my beats onto a digital format and then adding scratches, instruments, vocals, keys, you get thte picture. i realise that i may have to sacrifice sound quality slightly because my budget is so low. i would probably need a submixer for the mpc 8-outs? anything helpful about this recorder would be much appreciated.

I have one and it can only record up to 2 tracks at a time. I love mine and the sound quality is great. You have excellent Mic Pres Effects and amp effects, You have onboard effects unit which has 3 reverbs and a delay. You also have mastering efeects that make finished tracks shine. I use mine daily. For the money it is the best on the market. Also with USB and the Fostex File Manager on their webpage you can load tracks right on and off it.
Really easy to use and is very effecient. I use it for bass, scratches, guitars, and vocals. I run my MPC 8-Outs into a shitty mixer that I got and then send it out to the fostex. Cop it.
