pad 4... so lonely... no mode function.

until JJ creates some new function to put there...

Could we assign it to USB????

it would save me nearly a whole second (going in through the save or load shortcuts and hitting the f3 key)

cosign if your with me, it seems so logical as the pads are layed out

Load, Save, and ___ (how about.. USB!! )

My MPC will finally feel complete 8)

I'm sure that better functions can be assigned to Pad 4 that are used more often than USB.
I just woke up a few minutes ago, so I can't think of what would be a better choice as to what should be assigned. But I'll think about that later.

If anyone's got any ideas, post them in the meantime. I just feel that it's better to reserve that pad for more important functions, as USB should be left where it is in the Load and Save locations. We all know it's easy enough to get at the USB function, so it really don't need a separate pad assignment... especially when it's already accessible from two different pads.

pad 4 could be the coffee pad, or the blowjob pad...

just where you go to make data tranfers lol, im just messing around, its a waste of time to go through the trouble of changing it but i cat lie, i do alot of transfers, itd be convinient

I do lots of transfers as well. I prefer to pull out the CF card and insert into a 2.0 USB reader attached to the PC. It's much faster and you do not have to go into USB mode. I know the MPC reader is not the best quality and can have issues. Another good reason to buy the kit and HDD.

a 'pattern playlist' in the same spirit as track mute allowing recordable next seq events as well as the ability to do 'immediately play' style sequence changes in the next seq screen. this feature is waiting for either pad4 or a revamped song mode screen.

^^^ yea, but song mode has to play the entire sequence before it proceeds to the next seq. So if you just want the first bar of a 4 bar seq you have to duplicate it and cut it down. Not a big deal, but being able to record a sequence performance in seq mode (like in mute mode) would be flappin nice.

a feature like SEQ + or SEQ - would be helpful for the worflow i think.
