does the 1000 record main outs - like the 2500 ?

If I want to record the main outs for loops & audio chunks so I can just drop the audio files into my pro tools - is that possible ?
Or would I have to record the outs manually thru analog outs into pro tools ie: setup up pro tools for record & record each track from the mpc ?

mode, record, switch source to main out. save. export the wav file.
