Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i'm going to be installing and internal zip in my mpc tonight and i might go pick this up. for $8, it should be easier than cutting and soldering.

so, does this look like it would just plug into the floppy drive power cable and convert it to a regular ide power adapter?

The large connector (the one that fits into your disk drive), needs to be female.



Looks like the one on your picture is male.

i think you are right. it's hard to tell from teh pic but i think it is a male connector. damn, i thought i found an easy way. oh well, looks like i'll be busting out the soldering iron tonight. heh.

maybe if you had both of the cables you could use one as a sex changer/turnaround, and the other as an adapter.
