Just curious , how would an auto loop function work??

The auto loop on a lot of samplers it just loops a sample for you no mater how short it just loops it,an example would be on Kanye's Late Registration the song that goes "i'll Be late for that"where he is spittin the sample sounds kinda like its just a whole note, but listen closely and you will hear the auto loop of the 2000 XL

In that case the answer is yes. You can lock a loop point on the 500 so when you press the pad and the sample is within the point specified as your loop range it will continue to loop as you hold the pad...of course the sample needs to be changed from ONE SHOT to NOTE ON for the loop to work :D
