a year after getting the 1000 (first batch), there are like 8 dead pads on the thing. They all work, only you have to push REALLY hard on the 8. BUMMER!!!! GIVE ME NEW PADS FOR FREE AKAI

After just over a year, Pad 8 started getting moody, which it still is, but works.
Now, after another 6 months, Pad 1 is f***ed..have to press it really hard in a particular spot....I'm angry.... :(

Bring on that kit Ant!!

ps. it's a blue one

and now i dont know what to do. im stuck. my warrantee is done, my shift button is broken, and one of my arrow buttons is about to go. i have this 1300$ piece of gear, with barely any working pads, and i dont know what to do with it. i would love a new sampler but i'd need to sell this. but if a pad solution came out than id be a real happy dood.

i haven't had any problems with any pads going dead, but one of my pads the volume always seems to be lower than the the others.
