Question: I want to load my sampled drum beats from a CD(.wav format) to the MPC 1K and make Hip-Hop beats(sequences/songs). Is this the tool to do it with??; meaning the 16MB and the storage of a Flash Card and so forth will have enough disk space? I do have a PC... Please let me know because I hate factory beats that come from these drum machines...I need to advance in my sounds!!!

Yes, and you shouldn't have a problem doing this. If you do come back here and we'll help you sort it out. These guys help out with a lot of stuff!

Yep, should work, with Sample WAVs at 44100, 16 bit, mono or stereo.
It's just a question of assembling the Samples into Programs (assigning them to Pads), and whether you need the EXM128 expansion and bigger CF cards.

I need to know the difference....beside the price between the MPC 1000 and the 2000XL...Is it memory or what...?? Plus I was told that if you turned off the MPC 1000 you would have to load all the sounds back up..what must i do to prevent this or keep my sampled sounds in there?
