?save entire mem. project?

wen i got my mpc500, the way i was saving was first the project, then the sequence, naming them the same. example: "beat1" problem was it didnt save the effects how they were set up. so it was a pain always setting the effects up again.
i found out about saving entire memory project and it worked perfect. but, my question is... now if i do a future song, i make a new program and new sequence with new samples.... do i hav to name & save each individually still, and then save entire memory project? or can i just start it up fresh and simply save it all once as entire memory project? would samples not be saved if i didnt name them and another sample was already in a folder like "sample1"?

A good way is to have one folder to save in for each beat you save,
then You don't have to name all the files whenever you save except the project file

yeah.... i already hav a folder i named "programs n sequences" that i save those in. the first project i made was in the same folder. is that the same idea?
