one shot vs. just playing while you press the pad?

how do i setup samples to do either? right now they all play all the way through. but some samples i want to only play while i'm pressing the pad and then start from the begining when i press it again. i did this before when i recorded a sample in but now that i've imported some .wavs, i don't know how to change the setting. any ideas?

hit the pad u want to edit..

there is mono and note off...

thanks. i also found out you could do this by just turning on the loop on in the trim settings.
