software synths & 2500

hey id like to get into using some software synths like arturias minimoog ,but can someone tell me how i would beable to sequence using it with my 2500 , also im using a mac with protools ?

you ideally need two machines, in my opinion, one to run pro-tools the other to run the soft synths. and a midi adapter to trigger the synths.

who makes the adapter
