ok, so sometimes I have trouble loading either sequences or programs. not all, but I do with couple. when I go to the load window and select a the sequence or program I have trouble with, a pop up is displayed stating "wrong file!". It won't load it. I have to freakin' remake the entire sequence or program from scratch. the program and sequence all related most of the time. I'm probably not saving right but it happens often to me. I'm scared I'm going to lose my all my work one day. I should start doing back-ups on my computer and burn master cd's. help, give advice about my problem. what could I be doing wrong?

These bugs are due to the saving issues. There are some workarounds to this problem, and it has been discussed at least 381438 times in 4434293 different threads. I'm positive that if you do a search, you won't have any problem finding the solution.

yo juniorg i had the same prob. and it just about killed me so i have a simple solution for you that works perfectly for me. when your in the save screen instead of saving to root which is the default, highlight root hit lighted window button and create a new folder then every time you have something related to the program or sequence save it in that same folder by hilighting the root and pressing right directional arrow,or just make new folder if the samp. pro. or seq. is unrelated let me know how that works for you

thanks procrast. . . I'm going to start saving that way and see how it works out for me. If I go back and make changes could I save to the same folder or do I make a new one? I mean, should I replace the existing file or create new one every time I make changes to a sequence?

ive been saving to the same folder with changes made with no problems at all and trust me i was getting that wrong file 80% of the time when saving to root. if its something i really want to keep safe i,ll save to both my hard drive and flash card and i havent had either fail when saving to folder

folders is the key. I usually create no more than 3 programs and about 15 to 20 sequences per folder.

Create the folder first and then save as a project. When adding stuff save to a new folder as a project and delete the old.

Ive argued this many times in the past and never lost anything after I started using this method.
