2K and HD

if i get a SCSI HD for my 2K, can i save my beats on there??

like when im done with making a beat can i save it on the HD and then using the USB on the HD to drag the beat on to my PC??

or i can only put WAV files on the HD and read them on my 2K

Yes... you can read and write anything on any disk drive that the MPC recognizes.

Your question about SCSI and USB doesn't seem to make any sense. The drive is usually one or the other. You hook SCSI drive up to other SCSI devices and thats it. So you need either a SCSI interface on your computer or another method to read the files off there. If you don't have a SCSI interface, I'd recommend going a different route to go back and forth between the computer (like card reader, zip, etc).

If the disk was formated on the PC (fat32 format), you should be fine. Still not sure where USB is going to come in though. You need a SCSI port on your PC to be able to do that. I used to do this with an external SCSI zip drive and never had problems... but it was a pain in the ass to keep moving the cable, plus need to reboot the computer each time you plug or unplug. The pins eventually start to wear on the cable too.
