the samples you use for your mpc 1000...

Are there people who use the sounds from http://www.mpc-samples.com/ ?
Do they sound better then other samplecd's ?
Wich samples do you use on your MPC 1000?

I sample from everything! As far as drums go I have bought some drum kits just to get me started, but honestly there is nothing I can recommend as far as kits, and no I haven't tried the sample discs from there...yet!

I will say it now before we get 2 pages of people saying the biggest cliche around here:

"Go to a local record store, buy some vinyl and sample off there"

Yawn!

my new disease is to sample from 8-tracks

Lately I've samplig from CD's using the digital input. and also I've been sampling from the TV cable box that has digital output, you can find some really crazy Sh..t on TV. the other day I sampled a marching band show on TV and got some sweet drums, loops and rolls. I also like having a condenser mic always ready to record, this way I can get creative and start banging stuff in my house or sample whatever noise my crazy neighbors are making.

look at akaipro.com, they've got kits for free downloads available, every week a new kit is added, in mpc1000 prg. format, i think its great...
