Is the update to 1.51 riskless?

Hi, i would like to know if the update will erase all the songs i have inside my hard drive.. does it initialise the HD or only update the Sys.?

an os upgrade does nothing to the hard disk, initialize only upgrades and save the os... so your good . upgrade and enjoy

There is always a risk when updating flash memory. They usually give you warnings about not disconnecting the power or communications cables. Now if you have a power outage while you're updating, then you might have a problem. These things might lead to a corrupted install, but you could always try to reinstall it again. I know you can kill a CD-ROM drive while updating the firmware....and you can't try reinstalling that once it's been corrupted.

Its a pain in the erse, i know that much! Anyone having the sample list annoyance?? When skipping thru samples?
