Just a few minutes ago, I listened to one of my first beats made on the MPC1000 from about 2 months ago and realized that the bassline is way to high.....annoyingly high in fact. Problem is that I no longer have any of the sequence, program, or sample data around to reload it and lower it......So how would I go about lowering the bassling? I am currently using sound forge 6.0 and T-racks. Thanks a million for the help. Love all of you. Glance

use either a parametric eq, or multi-band eq (like 10 or 15 bands).

I don't use sound forge, but if it has a spectral view, use that to "see" what frequencies your bassline uses, the set your eq's around that, and turn that section, or bands, down.

Or, you can just grab an eq, and start turning knobs until you get the same effect as above. Good learning lesson if you haven't really used an eq for this purpose before.
